J. Press opened his first store in New Haven in 1902, and his “sack” fit quickly came to define the Ivy look. With no darts in the front, this relaxed cut was favored by students who wore their tailored jackets everywhere from the lecture hall to the tennis court. We knew their original “sport coat” was due for a revival, so we teamed with the masters to make ours in the USA from hard-wearing Scottish tweed. With half-canvas construction and a natural soft shoulder, it drapes effortlessly and forms to your body.

Relaxed sack-fit 3-roll-2 button sport coat with a soft shoulder and an undarted front for minimal waist suppression. Half-lined in Bemberg with half-canvas construction that forms to your body with wear for a more flattering fit. Details include a welted chest pocket, two patch-and-flap waist pockets, three internal welt pockets, a notch lapel, and a hook vent.

Model is 5’7″. He wears a Small top and 28″ bottoms.

Scottish wool tweed in a traditional gun club check pattern. Bemberg half-lining. Horn buttons.
